Another video shows actor Laal Singh Chadha sitting in his car as photographers jostle to get a glimpse of him.While many online believe that Aamir might have convinced Arijit to reconsider his decision, there is no official confirmation of what they discussed during the meeting.
A long musical association
Arijit Singh has lent his voice to several memorable scores for films headlined by Aamir Khan.
In 2016, he sang Naina for Aamir’s blockbuster Dangal, a song that later became one of the film’s emotional high points.Their collaboration continued in 2022 with Laal Singh Chaddha, the official remake of Forrest Gump. Arijit crooned two soulful tracks for the film – Tere Hawaale and Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi – both of which struck a chord with listeners despite the film’s mixed reception.

On January 27, Arijit Singh announced on social media that he will no longer be doing any more singing assignments.
In a heartfelt note, he wrote: “Hello. Happy New Year everyone. I want to thank you all for loving me so much all these years as listeners. I’m happy to announce that I will not be doing any new jobs as a backup singer from now on. I’m calling it quits. It’s been a great journey.”The announcement rocked the music industry and left fans emotional and confused.

“Not a sudden decision,” says Arijit
Addressing fans on his private account X (formerly Twitter), Arijit clarified that his decision was not impulsive and was not triggered by a single incident.
“There is more than one reason behind this, there are several reasons, besides, I have been trying to do this for a long time. I finally gathered the courage,” he wrote.He also spoke frankly about his creative restlessness. “One of the reasons is simple, I get bored pretty quickly, so I keep changing the arrangements of the same songs and performing them on stage. That’s the thing, I got bored. I need to do other music to live,” he explained.
Making room for new voices and going back to the roots
Then Arijit said that he wants to leave to give the opportunity to new talents to appear. “Another reason is that I’m glad to hear that some singer has come and given me real motivation,” he added.Sharing his plans for the future, the singer noted that he wants to reconnect with his musical roots. “I’m going back to Indian classical music. I want to go back to making music. I want to start again,” he wrote.He also assured fans that he will fulfill all his existing commitments, adding: “So you can get a few releases this year.”
