India's longest range electric scooter: Simple Ultra launched with 400 km range!

Bengaluru-based startup Simple Energy has launched the much-awaited Simple Ultra. This electric vehicle is said to be the longest range electric scooter in India with an IDC range of 400 km.

It has been priced at Rs 2.35 lakh, ex-showroom. The model is now available for purchase and test rides, with deliveries already underway across the country.

A very simple e-scooter: basic details

This electric vehicle was first unveiled earlier this year as part of the company’s Gen 2 portfolio. Bookings opened earlier, and customer deliveries began last month. The launch of the Simple Ultra follows the introduction of second-generation versions of the Simple One and Simple OneS earlier this year.

At the heart of the Simple Ultra is a 6.5 kWh battery pack, which enables an IDC range of up to 400 km. In terms of performance, the Ultra can reach a top speed of 115 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds. According to the company, this makes it the second-fastest electric scooter in its range, behind the Simple One.In terms of features, the scooter comes with four levels of traction control. It also has a 7-inch digital screen that displays key trip information and controls multiple functions. Alongside the product launch, Simple Energy continues to expand its retail footprint.
