Sonakshi Sinha once again expressed her support for environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk and condemned his forced transfer to Safdarjung Hospital after Delhi Police removed him from the Jantar Mantar protest site.

Sharing an emotional video on social media, Sonakshi said the move was “not right”, while praising Wangchuk and thousands of supporters for holding their protest peacefully.

She also urged protesters to continue raising their voices through nonviolence and expressed hope that a meaningful dialogue would begin soon.

Sonakshi Sinha criticizes Sonam Wangchuk’s forced hospitalization

Hours after Sonam Wangchuk was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital, Sonakshi Sinha shared a video expressing her concern over the incident.

She said she was relieved that Wangchuk was safe with his wife, but insisted that the manner in which he was removed from the protest site was inappropriate.Sonakshi said, “What happened with Sonam sir today, I am happy that he is fine. His wife is with him. He is still strong. He is alert. In the past few days, I have seen thousands of people with him. No matter what is happening with them, they keep their words in a calm, respectful and non-violent manner.”

Despite being hospitalized, Wangchuk reportedly continued his hunger strike and refused to take medications and nutritional supplements.Sonakshi praised the students and supporters who stood by Wangchuk throughout the protest, highlighting their discipline and commitment despite facing discomfort and uncertainty. Noting that the movement remained peaceful and respectful throughout, she said the resilience shown by the country’s youth reflects India’s true strength.

According to the actor, peaceful demonstrations reinforce the movement’s message much more than violence or hostility.“We all know that the future of the country is in the hands of its youth. And seeing you all, this seems even more true now. So much pain, so much disappointment, even after such a long wait, the way you have continued your struggle with peace and respect, my hat’s off to you,” Sonakshi said.

Sonakshi urges her supporters to maintain peace ahead of Parliament march

As her supporters prepared to march towards Parliament on July 20, Sonakshi appealed to protesters to continue their movement with peace, unity and respect.

She said that every citizen has the constitutional right to question those in power, and she expressed her hope that constructive dialogue would begin soon.“On the 20th, those who will be marching, I have only one request for you. Keep your voice loud. But stay on your path, which has been the greatest strength of this movement so far. Peace, unity and respect. Peace, unity and respect. That’s it. Every citizen has the right to speak out.”

He has the right to ask questions. “When people move forward without violence, without hate, just with hope and faith, their voice becomes stronger.”She concluded her speech by saying that she stood with the youth, the students, the constitution, and the nation, adding that every voice deserves to be heard with dignity.Sinha concluded his speech by saying, “All those associated with Sonam sir, you have reminded us that courage is not always achieved by making noise.

Sometimes it is peace, resolve and determination. I am with the youth. I am with the students. I support our constitution. Above all, I am with our country. Sonakshi has consistently supported Sonam Wangchuk’s campaign

This is not the first time Sonakshi Sinha has spoken out in support of Wangchuk. Earlier this week, she shared another emotional video urging authorities to deal with protesters.
