Prime Video’s live-action series based on the “Spider-Man Noir” comic features Cage as a 1930s-era web-slinger.

The official trailer for the Prime Video series Spider-ManA drama series based on a fictional story, featuring Nicolas Cage facing off against supervillain Brendan Gleeson.

Marking the Oscar winner’s first major role in a television series, Cage plays Ben Reilly, an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to come to terms with his past life as the only superhero in the city. In the new trailer (below), Riley discovers his powers and confronts an Irish crime lord (Gleeson), who appears to be Silvermane from the comics. The trailer was dropped in Mexico City for the pop culture festival CCXPMX26.

The company has a unique presentation for the project: Spider Noir It will be available for streaming in two different formats, “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color” (the original comics were muted and somewhat monochromatic, but in color).

The project is based on comedy Spider-Man NoirBut the project is considered a stand-alone story and is not part of Sony or the films In the spider verse privilege.

The full cast includes Lamorne Morris (Fargo), Lee Jun Lee (Sinners), Karen Rodriguez (Hunting wives), Abraham Popoola (Slow horses), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire(And Brendan Gleeson)Inchirin Panchayat).

Spider Noir It will premiere on May 27, and the episodes will be released as a continuous release.

Spider Noir Produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. Harry Bradbeer (Flea bag) directed and executive produced the first two episodes. Oren Ozil (Lost city) and Steve Lightfoot (Punisher) serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series along with the team behind it Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal.
