‘Papi Gudia’ actress Poonam Dasgupta has filed a complaint with the Oshiwara Police in Mumbai after receiving explicit pornographic videos and nude photos from an unknown WhatsApp number.
The incident reportedly happened on April 27 around 6.30 pm while she was at home. Dasgupta, who started her career in films and television and has appeared in numerous Hindi and regional projects over the years, said the messages traumatized her and caused her severe mental stress. Screenshots were provided to police, who launched an investigation to trace the sender.

According to Mid-Day, Dasgupta called the police after discussing the matter with her husband.
The complaint was officially registered on April 29 at Oshiwara Police Station. The police have registered a case under the provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and have begun efforts to identify the person behind the unknown WhatsApp number.The actress told the publication that she first tried to call the number after receiving obscene material, but no one answered. She then blocked the sender and reported the incident to her family.
Dasgupta also claimed that the person distributed some of her old photos. She said those photos are no longer available to the public, leading her to suspect the sender may be someone she knows.

“These pictures are no longer even on Google. I feel like this might be someone known to me, who is intentionally trying to mentally harass me,” Dasgupta said mid-day.Speaking about the nature of the messages, Dasgupta said that people in the public eye often receive messages from fans, including some that are inappropriate.
But she said this incident was different because of the explicit material sent to her phone.“I’ve never experienced anything so vulgar before,” she said. “I have blocked many numbers earlier due to inappropriate messages, but this is the first time someone has sent such vulgar videos. I am stunned.”Dasgupta started her journey as a child artist in Bengali cinema and later worked in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films. She also appeared in television shows, including ‘Zee Horror Show’ and theater productions, building a long career in the industry. The police are now examining the screenshots provided by Dasgupta and are trying to trace the number used to send the obscene videos, nude photos and old photos.
