The second season will feature Lenny Wilson, Jamie Pressley, Billy Gardell, and Tyne Daly. Lian, The Netflix comedy series Leanne Morgan stars in and co-created with Susan McMartin and comedy leader Chuck Lorre.
Morgan’s ongoing working relationship with Netflix follows a 16-episode first season of the sitcom that spent two weeks in the global top 10 rankings for English-language series after its July 31, 2025, premiere. Lian It also stars Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Jayma Mays, Tim Daly, Graham Rogers, Hannah Bilks and Andrea Anders.
Netflix says in a synopsis that the sitcom sees Leanne’s world “turn upside down when her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. With the support of her family, including her sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter, and hope in the most unexpected places. This heartfelt comedy proves that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.”
The multi-camera sitcom is from Chuck Lorre Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, Lorre’s longtime home through an overall deal. Lorre executive produces alongside Nick Bakay, Morgan and Judy Marmell.
Morgan also performed in her second Netflix special, Unspeakable thingsafter 2023 I am every woman. She has another Netflix special coming up for 2027. The Tennessee native worked the comedy club and touring circuit for 25 years before rising to stardom with her first Netflix special.
Season two of Lian It will debut on Netflix on August 27.
