Academy Award-winning actress Glenn Close recently joined the ranks of some of the biggest stars in the industry. She recently held her hand and fingerprint concert at the famous TCL Chinese Theater. While wrapping up her ceremony, Close had a lot to say about her career and how she feels now.

On May 1, in the heart of Hollywood at the official TCL Chinese Theater, iconic veteran star Glenn Close held her hand-in-hand and foot-print ceremony. She was surrounded by her family, friends and fans when she ended the ceremony with a big smile on her face.Then, when she was called on stage to give a speech, she talked about all the other veteran legends who had come before her and performed the concert exactly as she did, PEOPLE reported.
She added during the speech: “We are members of the alien nation, because I think we have more antennae than some other humans. There are aliens and civilians, and we certainly speak different languages. I fear a world in which the civilians completely deprive us of the rights we aliens have.”

Over the years, many other celebrities have been invited to perform at the ceremony.
Recalling them in her speech, Close added, “They all had stories of overcoming, of persevering, often against the odds that they had to balance their public personas with their true identity. People have a dream, of course. But people who have a crazy faith that can’t be quenched — a crazy drive of faith — that they have something unique to offer the world, to help us understand what it means to be a human being, a human being on this little orb, the Earth.”
