Phoebe Bridgers has officially confirmed that her third album is on the way, announcing it on Wednesday morning Lost weekend It will finally arrive on August 14.
Bridgers said on her Instagram account that the first single from the album will be released tomorrow. The album marks Bridgers’ first solo album in six years and follows her acclaimed 2020 record Punisher. Fans have been waiting for a new solo record ever since and have been highly anticipating new music since Bridgers announced an arena tour last month.
Bridgers has been kicking off her new era with some surprise pop-ups, debuting in New Mexico in May. The biggest of these was a phone-free concert at Madison Square Garden that she announced just two days ago.
While Bridgers has not released a solo album since punisher, She was definitely busy. She reached new career heights with the supergroup Boygenius, winning three Grammy Awards to critical acclaim Record. The album won Best Alternative Album, while its single “Not Strong Envy” won Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. Bridgers won a separate Grammy Award that same night for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Ghost in the Machine,” a collaboration with SZA.
Bridgers did not share any other details about Lost weekend Other than its release date.
In addition to her music, Bridgers will also make her film debut in A24 Peak time, Starring Robert Pattinson, the film is expected to be released sometime this year.
