In a recent interview, Nina revealed that even though Richards wasn’t a part of Masaba’s growing up years, the bond between father and daughter today is warm and easy.“It’s very good and they share a very comfortable relationship. Why not comfortable?” Nina told ANI explaining their contrasting personalities. “He’s not a social person. He’s in his own world. Masaba, on the other hand, is very social and normal. She’s just like me. Whatever they have together, it works well for both of them.”
A wedding picture that brought everyone together
Nina also opened up about the much-talked-about family photo from Masaba Gupta’s wedding, which captured her entire blended family, including Vivian Richards, in one shot.“Masaba and Satyadeep didn’t have a wedding with Feras. They got married in court and had a reception,” Nina shared. “It was a time when Masaba wanted to take a photo, especially when all of us were present. Satyadeep’s family was there and Vivian was also there. It happened by chance.”A photo posted by Masaba in January 2023 shows Masaba and her husband Satyadeep Misra, his mother Nalinimisra Tyabjee, Chinmay Misra’s sister Neena Gupta, her husband Vivek Mehra and Masaba’s father Vivian Richards.

Nina Gupta and Vivian Richards had Masaba out of wedlock and lived separately throughout their lives.
