Satish Shah’s career spanned over four decades, making him one of the most versatile and beloved actors in the Indian entertainment industry. He rose to prominence with Kundan Shah’s 1983 cult classic ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’, playing the corrupt Municipal Commissioner D’Mello—a role that remains etched in cinematic history.

Over the years, Shah showcased his incredible comic timing and versatility in films like Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Fanaa (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), and Humshakals (2014). On television, he became a household name with his unforgettable performance as Rosesh Sarabhai in ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’, a show that continues to entertain generations of viewers.

Shah was married to designer Madhu Shah and was widely admired for his warm and humble personality off-screen. According to his long-time personal assistant, Ramesh Kadatala, Shah passed away peacefully at his residence in Bandra East, Mumbai.
