Tovino Thomas has confirmed that he will not be a part of Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s ‘Dragon’ due to date allotment issues, preferring to focus on projects that can be completed within three months.
Tovino Thomas is sure to go places after the success of ‘Lokah: Chapter 1’ and there were reports that he will be a part of Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film ‘Dragon’. Now, in a press meet held in Hyderabad, Tovino Thomas confirmed that he is no longer acting in the big Telugu film.
Tovino Thomas explains his decision
As reported by Hindustan Times, Tovino was asked about ‘Dragon’ during the promotional event. “It’s really hard to assign dates, so I don’t do it,” he said.Explaining his working style, he continued, “I don’t do multiple films at the same time. In Malayalam, we usually complete a film in one schedule. But in Telugu, it takes almost a year to finish one project. That’s why I don’t do straight Telugu films. I can commit to three months, not a whole year.”
No crack with Dulquer Salmaan
In another press meet held in Chennai, Tovino was asked about rumors of tension with Dulquer Salmaan. He laughed at the question and replied, “Oh, why are they talking about me? Then I should call Dulquer and ask him why!” He explained that there was no problem between them at all.“Dulquer and I have known each other for a long time. I have actually worked as an assistant director in one of his films,” the ‘Pallichattambi’ actor added.
Tovino also said that Dulquer has always been very friendly and supportive and they will be seen together next in ‘Lokah: Chapter 2’.
Busy with “Pallichattambi”
Right now, Tovino is fully focused on promoting ‘Pallichattambi’ which is all set to hit theaters on April 10. Diego Jose Anthony, best known for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Jana Gana Mana’, is directing it and Kayadu Lohar plays the lead role. Meanwhile, Pallichattambi’s song titled “Kaattuchembakam” received good response from the audience.
