Actor Bharat attributes his career decline not to action films, but to poor timing of release and promotion of many projects. He admitted some mistakes in script selection, but remained confident of a strong comeback, and compared the match-winning cricket performance. His upcoming film ‘Kaalidas 2’ aims to set a new stage.

Actor Bharat spoke candidly about the ups and downs of his film career while promoting his upcoming film ‘Kaalidas 2’. The actor, who has completed more than two decades in the industry and acted in more than 50 films, said his initial years in Tamil cinema were filled with success.

Films like ‘Boys’, ‘4 the People’, ‘Chellamae’, ‘Kadhal’, ’14 February’, ‘Pattiyal’, ‘Em Magan’, ‘Veyil’ and ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ all received good response from audiences. Bharath said that those films helped him gain recognition and build a strong position among young actors in the industry during that period.

Bharath clears up rumors that action films caused his career to decline

Many people believe that Bharat’s career slowdown happened after he started making more action films. However, the actor explained that the situation was not that simple.

“Some say my career took a dip because I started acting in action films. But that’s not entirely true,” Bharath said while talking to Galata. He pointed out that films like “Pazhani” performed well and were admired by the audience. According to him, he continued working in several good films after that.

But many of these projects did not reach the audience properly because they lacked proper release timing or strong promotion.

The timing of release and competition influenced many Bharat films

Bharath also shared examples of how external factors influenced some of his films. He said a lot of people still appreciate movies like 555 and tell him it’s a good movie. However, its release happened during a difficult period when Vijay’s film ‘Thalaivaa’ faced release issues and the producers quickly released ‘555’ at that time. Likewise, his film ‘Nepali’ was certified and released along with ‘Something Something’.

He said frankly: “If the audience does not watch some of my films, it is also because I made mistakes in choosing the stories.”

Bharath added that he continues to stay in the competition and hopes to make a strong comeback one day.Comparing his hopes to a surprise match-winning performance in cricket, he said he wants to make a strong comeback like Sanju Samson. His next film ‘Kaalidas 2’, directed by Sri Senthil, is scheduled to release on April 3. The film also stars actors like Sangeetha, Ajay Karthik and Bhavani Sre, and fans are hoping that it will mark a new phase in Bharat’s career.
