Prime Video and Mike Flanagan provide more insight into their reimagining of Stephen King’s classic first novel curry.
before curry At San Diego Comic-Con, Prime Video debuted the official trailer for the eight-episode series, which expands on King’s original story about a high school girl with telekinetic powers.
The official teaser hints at “new dimensions still to come,” as Prime Video describes the trailer.
At the end of the panel, Flanagan announced that all eight episodes of the series would premiere on Prime Video on October 7. Key art referencing the infamous Bloody Prom was also shared.

Flanagan’s upcoming reimagining marks the first time the story has been adapted for television.
Summer Howell stars as the series’ main character Carrie White and Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White.
The show’s synopsis reads: “Misfit high school student Carrie White (Howell) has spent her life hiding within the walls of her home with her fiercely protective mother, Margaret (Sloyan). After her father’s sudden and untimely death thrusts her into the unforgiving ecosystem of public high school, Carrie is forced to navigate a viral bullying scandal that tears apart her community, the relentless pressure and casual cruelty of the social media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers that rise alongside her… Along with her adolescence.
Sienna Agudong, Allison Thornton, Joel Ouellette, Josie Totta, Arthur Conte, Talia Dudek, Amber Midthunder, and Matthew Lillard also star.
In addition to serving as showrunner, Flanagan also writes and produces the series. He also directs four episodes. King serves as executive producer of the series produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
