Akash Singh walks away blatant podcast after spending nearly a decade building the show with Andrew Schulz. Schulz shared the news during a May 6, 2026 podcast episode, and said the decision came after Singh chose to focus fully on his comedy career.
The announcement surprised many longtime listeners because the two comedians helped develop the podcast together from early on Screaming 2 Days in one of the most popular comedy shows on the internet.Andrew Schultz explained that the decision was emotional for both of them. He said Akash Singh was going through a big time in his life and career this year, especially after selling out Radio City Music Hall and performing in packed venues across North America.
Schulz said Singh felt this was the right moment to put all his energy into comedy tours and live shows.Andrew Schultz said during the episode:“Our son Akash actually went through it earlier this year. He showed amazing resilience. Recently selling out Radio City, making records in Toronto, crushing stand-up comedy all over the world, and literally living the dream. The experience has put things into perspective for him.”
He made the decision to focus all his energy on standing up.Schulz also admitted that the moment was difficult for the podcast team because Singh didn’t really want to leave the show. However, he supported his old friend’s decision.“He’s going to walk away from the pod. It’s bittersweet. He didn’t want to do that. But at the same time, it’s very hard not to root for your friend who is literally living his dreams, and if he feels like he has to give everything for it, then that’s what he has to do,” Schultz added.

Schultz initially tried to say that they were both the same, but he almost admitted that the cooking had taken more effort before he stopped himself.
