Thackeray said his party would support the agitation in Maharashtra and appealed to political parties across the country to organize similar protests in their states.

Addressing a press conference at his residence in Matoshree, Uddhav Thackeray said that repeated leaks of exam papers, including the NEET controversy, have put the future of thousands of students at risk.

He said everyone should support Wangchuk and Dipki, regardless of their political affiliation, and take up the issue in their state.

“Why is the government not seeking the resignation of HRD Minister Dharmendra Pradhan?” Thackeray asked.

“Our party fully supports Sonam Wangchuk and Abhijit Deepki. This is not a political issue but a battle to save the future of the country’s youth. Everyone, regardless of their political affiliation, should support their movement and organize similar protests in their states,” he said.

Uddhav Thackeray said he may travel to Delhi on July 20 to visit the protest site and confirmed that the Shiv Sena (UBT) will hold protests in Maharashtra in solidarity with the agitation.

Sonam also appealed to Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, saying the country needs him.
