Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena or MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Thursday announced a ‘United March’ on Sunday, July 26 from Shivaji Park to Siddhivinayak Temple. They invited Congress leaders and NCP chief Sharad Pawar to join them.
Addressing a joint press conference at Raj Thackeray’s residence, Raj said the march would be held under Tiranga while urging participants not to carry any political party flags. Uddhav Thackeray said he spoke to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal regarding the united march.

Raj Thackeray said that the central government brutally suppressed the peaceful protests of students. He pointed out that when the BJP was in opposition, it was protesting over the issues and demanding the resignation of ministers. He said Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patel had to resign after the 26/11 attack due to his only punishment.
R.R. had to Patel, who had been in charge for 11 months when his ministry faced public anger for failing to prevent the 26/11 attacks, was forced to resign, after which NCP leader Jayant Patel took over as Maharashtra Home Minister.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement on X but it has no significance. The central government is showing arrogance of power.” He added.
“People now feel that Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is not enough and it is time to change the system,” Uddhav Thackeray said. Thackeray said. He also called on Sharad Pawar to join Sunday’s march.
