Hyderabad and Prajavani services will be expanded to the grassroots level across Telangana, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday directing officials to ensure priority resolution of public petitions and grievances.

Reddy fired Prajavani on December 8, 2023, the day he assumed office, to address people’s grievances expeditiously, a press release said.
Prajavani means “voice of the people”.
Since then, prajavani is performed every Tuesday and Friday at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan.
Officials from all government departments receive requests and petitions directly from the public and take immediate action.
Prajavani program is also organized weekly at district level under the supervision of district collectors.
During a meeting on Sunday, the Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and CMO officials to bring Prajavani services closer to the people, reducing the need to travel to Hyderabad or district headquarters to resolve grievances.
He instructed the officials to launch Prajavani services at the revenue department level and expand them to the mandal level in the next phase.
The higher authorities have also been directed to develop an administrative mechanism to ensure the presence of officials at all levels to address grievances and complaints received through Prajavani.
Specific instructions were issued requiring that every complaint submitted by citizens be duly registered, referred to the relevant departments, and applicants kept informed of the status of their complaints.
The Prime Minister stressed that all departments must set deadlines for resolving grievances without delay.
He also called for developing a unified digital platform to register, track and resolve grievances. A real-time monitoring mechanism will be established at the district and state levels.
Reddy also directed to appoint dedicated nodal officers for Prajavani services at every administrative level.
Specialized Prajavani wings will be established in each district and across government departments, the statement said.
An automatic escalation system will also be implemented to ensure that if grievances remain unresolved at some level, they are automatically referred to a higher authority. If necessary, an appeal mechanism will be introduced.
Reddy warned that there should not be any compromise in the grievance redressal process and directed officials to conduct regular review meetings at district and state levels.
They have been directed to pay special attention to pending grievances and monitor progress through the dashboard.
He added that the relevant officials will be held accountable for any delay in addressing grievances.
He added that decentralization of Prajavani services would help reduce the burden on state and district level centres.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Prajavani’s services should be implemented meticulously to instil confidence among the people, the statement added.
