Officer-in-charge of Suri police station, Shailendra Upadhyay, was among those injured after miscreants pelted stones and bricks at the police team in Kokhodihi village.

According to police, the problem began after a bulldozer engaged in construction work near a graveyard accidentally dug into the soil covering the grave, sparking tension.

The officer said a group of local residents then detained the bulldozer operator, leading to a confrontation between two groups belonging to the same community.
