As the CJP and hundreds of protesters gather at Jantar Mantar ahead of the ‘Chalo Sansad’ rally, CJP founder Abhijit Debke urged the protest to remain peaceful.

“I request all the people participating to carry a red rose, a picture of Mahatma Gandhi or Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, or carry a copy of the Indian Constitution to ensure that this protest remains peaceful,” Debki said.
The Boston University graduate also warned against attempts to disrupt the march and called on his supporters to remain alert and vigilant.

“If you see someone disrupting the march or making attempts to escalate the situation, please notify our volunteers, and we will remove that person,” Debke said.
He added: “We are patriotic citizens, and we aim to carry out our march peacefully.”
Delhi Police on alert ahead of CJP’s rally
Ahead of today’s march at 9 am, Delhi Police was on high alert. Police officials issued several warnings in the run-up to the march, stating that the CJP did not have permission. Furthermore, a curfew has been imposed to ensure that no gatherings occur.
The CJP denied the Delhi Police statement and said it would continue the march as announced.
Ahead of the march to Parliament, Hizb ut-Tahrir reporters on the ground reported that police had installed barricades on Tolstoy Marg, the main entrance to the protest site, and left a small entrance open for people to enter as of now.
The protesters initially raised objections but CJP volunteers asked them not to participate.
Moreover, CJP spokespersons also stated that the Center reached out and made contacts for the first time since the protests began. The speakers added that the march will be organized as scheduled and that communication with the government is continuing.
