The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced the results of the Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026. Students who appeared for the exam can access their results through DigiLocker.

The board said the second examination was introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which provides Class 10 students with two opportunities to appear for board examinations in the academic year.
While the main examination was conducted from February 17 to March 11, 2026, the second board examination was conducted from May 15 to May 21.
How to Check CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result on DigiLocker
Students can follow these steps to access their digital grade sheet:
Step 1: Visit the DigiLocker website or open the DigiLocker mobile app.
Step 2: Log in using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar credentials. New users can create an account by completing the registration process.
Step 3: Go to the issued documents section and select Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Step 4: Select Class 10 Mark Sheet/Pass Certificate 2026.
Step 5: Enter the required details, including CBSE registration number, school number and admit card ID, if prompted.
Step 6: Submit details to view and download your digital marksheet. Students can also save it for future reference.
Nearly 6.64 lakh students have registered
A total of 6,64,027 candidates registered for the second board exam, of which 6,63,777 appeared, according to CBSE.
The test is largely taken by students seeking to improve their performance in the main board examination. Of the 5,13,955 candidates who applied for improvement, 3,08,095 improved their performance, which is 59.95 per cent.
The cabin pass ratio improves
CBSE said 1,49,822 students appeared in the compartment category, of which 78,503 cleared the exam, taking the compartment pass percentage to 52.40 per cent. The Council noted that the corresponding figure in 2025 was 48.68 percent.
After combining the results of the main and second board examinations, the overall pass rate for the 2026 10th grade examination is 96.78 percent.
