Akshay Kumar’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ has collected Rs 38 lakh on day 23, with the total India net collections at Rs 132.43 crore. Its momentum slowed with the release of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which grossed Rs 20.76 crore on the first day. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film features a huge cast led by Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ saw a slight rise in its earnings on Saturday compared to its Friday earnings at the Indian box office. The film, now in its fourth week in theaters, saw collections decline sharply on Friday, but fortunately, gained some business over the weekend.
This coincided with the release of Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited epic ‘The Odyssey’, which has emerged as the new favorite among Indian moviegoers.

According to Sacnilk, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ collected around Rs 38 lakh on its 23rd day, and was screened in approximately 719 shows nationwide. With this addition, the film’s total net collection in India has reached an estimated Rs 132.43 crore, while its gross earnings stand at around Rs 157.34 crore.

The film opened strong, grossing nearly Rs 93 crore in its first week alone. But this early momentum slowed in the following weeks. As per the report, the second week’s collections took a hit, falling to around Rs 31.90 crore, while the third week saw earnings fall to single digits at just Rs 6.80 crore. It is now heading into its fourth weekend with a low of Rs 38 lakh.

The film’s box office slowdown appears to be linked to the release of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, which has hit Indian screens in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The Hollywood epic opened with a bang, collecting an estimated gross of Rs 20.76 crore and around Rs 17.40 crore nett on the first day. High occupancy across IMAX and other premium formats helped the film dominate multiplexes and premium screens, drawing crowds that might otherwise have chosen local films.
