72nd National Film Awards: Jr NTR celebrates Telugu cinema; ‘Pushpa’ actor Allu Arjun says: ‘We celebrate the best of Indian cinema’

The announcement of the 72nd National Film Awards turned out to be a proud moment for the South Indian film industry. Many Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films received major awards across categories.Among the big winners, “Article 370” won the Best Feature Film award, while Yami Gautam took home the Best Actress award. Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan shared the Best Actor award for Bramayugam and Chandu Champion respectively.‘Kalki 2898 AD’ won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award, ‘Pushpa 2’ won the Best Screenplay award, ‘Amaran’ bagged several accolades and ‘Committee Kurrollu’ bagged the Best Telugu Film award.

Megastar Chiranjeevi also shared a detailed congratulatory message after the winners were announced. He praised Mammootty for winning his fourth Best Actor award.
