The court did not give any relief to Rajpal Yadav as he said, “He will go to jail 5 times, and will not pay a single penny,” in the Rs 9-crore debt case. Madhav’s lawyer Gopal Agarwal says, “His wife Radha Yadav is also an accused.”

Rajpal Yadav has been in the midst of a legal problem since the past few months. After he was granted bail and released from Tihar Jail in the Rs 9 crore debt case, the actor was given time to repay the loan but he continued to violate court orders.

For those who don’t know, Rajpal Yadav is in a legal dispute with Madhav Gopal Agrawal, who represents Murali Enterprises Limited. According to the court’s ruling on Friday, Yadav did not get any relief and was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.Explaining why the actor was sentenced to three months in prison, advocate Avnish Sikka, representing Murli Projects Pvt Ltd, said, “Today, the cases filed by Rajpal Yadav have been reserved for orders. As per the Delhi High Court ruling, all the 21 cases filed by Rajpal Yadav have been dismissed and the order passed by the Sessions Court has been upheld.”

The court ordered him to imprisonment for three months; He was also directed to pay a fine of Rs 1.05 crore in each case. The 3-month prison sentence must be served concurrently. Ms. Radha Rajpal Yadav was also one of the accused in these cases. She was ordered to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh in each case.

While the case was pending, his lawyer prayed for probation. The court refused to exempt him from probation.

The court took into account the repeated violation of his undertakings given to the court, along with the fact that on the last day Rajpal Yadav said: “I am ready to go to jail 5 times but I will not pay a single penny.” He was given two months to either comply with the order or appeal the ruling before the Supreme Court.

For those who don’t know, earlier, businessman Madhav Gopal Agrawal, who loaned the actor Rs 5 crore for his 2012 directorial venture ‘Ata Pata Laapata’, said he approved the loan after Rajpal’s wife, Radha, sent him emotional messages seeking help.

He stressed that the agreement clearly stipulated that payment would not be affected by the film’s box office performance, censorship certificate, or any other obstacle.

He said the actor also gave a personal guarantee. The businessman added that the deal was a loan and not an investment, noting that investments usually do not include personal guarantees or post-dated checks.Since then, Yadav has denied returning the money. Agarwal also said that during the initial phase of the conflict, he visited the actor’s house and “cried like a child in front of him,” explaining that the money he lent was borrowed from others. He said he repeatedly asked Rajpal to provide a specific date so that a new agreement could be drafted.
