Disney+ has given the green light to a new documentary series produced by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mack that follows the Australian sailing team that includes Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Reynolds and Jackman, also known as Deadpool and Wolverine (from Deadpool Wolverine) He co-owns SailGP’s Bonds Flying Roos racing team. The series will follow Flying Roos “through a global racing season defined by speed, pressure and high stakes,” as the media announcement states, “a stadium-style championship where identical 50-foot boats race on near-shore courses at speeds up to 100 km/h.”
SailGP, officially known as the Rolex SailGP Championship, is (essentially) a sailing racing league. The Australian team, owned by superhero X-man (Jackman) and neighboring X-men (Reynolds), is led by driver and CEO Tom Slingsby, an Olympic gold medalist, America’s Cup winner and three-time SailGP champion.
