How did the dispute between “Don 3” begin?
The fallout became public after Ranveer Singh exited Don 3, backed by Farhan and Riteish’s project. Reports indicated that the production house had sought compensation of Rs 40 crore, citing pre-production costs, scheduling disruptions, and related losses, all of which were reportedly undertaken with the prior approval of the actor. For his part, Singh was said to have withdrawn due to dissatisfaction with the script, the absence of a restrained script, and concerns about the overall management of the project.
As the standoff escalated, the Producers Guild of India reportedly intervened to mediate.
Aamir Khan Denial and the path to solution
Amid the dispute, reports of Aamir Khan mediating between the two parties briefly emerged, but were quickly shut down. According to Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan has “categorically denied any role in Ranveer and Farhan Akhtar’s feud”.
What’s next for “Don 3”?
With no official word from the makers, ‘Don 3’ remains in limbo. Conflicting reports have even suggested that Farhan Akhtar may take on the titular role himself. For now, the future of the franchise hangs in the balance, though one thing is clear: the Don saga is far from over.
