'Off Campus': Antonio Cipriano says India Fowler 'fell straight out of the books' as he teases Logan and Grace's future

Antonio Cipriano, who plays Logan in the hit series Off Campus, spoke about casting new star India Fowler as Grace Evers, calling it a perfect fit from the moment they read together.

The actor also teased what fans can expect from his character in the upcoming season of the show, explaining why a delay in Logan and Grace’s romance would be a good thing for the story.Ever since “Fear Street: Prom Queen” star Indya Fowler was cast in the role of Grace Evers, fans have been anticipating that she and Cipriano will lead the second season. However, the streamer pulled off a surprise by announcing Steven Cullen and Mika Abdullah as the new leads, playing the characters of Dean and Allie respectively.

Speaking with People, Cipriano said he read with three different actresses for the role of Grace, all of whom he described as amazing. Fowler’s casting was revealed just days before the series premiere, but the chemistry was immediately apparent. “India brought something to it… I don’t know, it really came out of the books. It was like I was talking to Grace,” he said.Cipriano also explained why he’s glad viewers didn’t see Logan fall in love in season one.

By holding back the romance, fans get to know the character more deeply before watching him tear down his walls when he meets Grace. He noted, “The first season acts as an introduction to all the characters so that fans can eventually encourage everyone to fall in love.”In the Elle Kennedy book series on which the show is based, Logan and Grace’s story appears in the second book, titled “The Mistake.” However, Season 2 is adapted from the third book, “The Score,” meaning the full romance between Logan and Grace will be saved for a potential third season.His character John Logan is the best friend of Garrett, played by Belmont Camille, the co-leader of the first season. Eventually, Logan has difficulty dealing with new student Grace, who is joining Briar University.

The second season of “Off Campus” and the series’ record-breaking debut

Since its release on May 13, “Off Campus” has become the third most-watched series in the history of the streaming service. According to the live stream, the show reached 36 million viewers in the first 12 days.Jalen Thomas Brooks, Julia Sarah Stone, Chad Willett, and Philippa Soo are all set to return for season two. Co-showrunner Luisa Levy confirmed that all episodes of the second season have already been written and filming will begin soon. Levi and Gina Fattore serve as co-hosts of the hockey romance series.
