The One Ring takes shape in the first trailer for Season 3 from Prime Video The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.
Action-packed footage (below) shows Middle Earth in open war as the dwarf royal Galadriel (Morfydd Clarke) leads her forces against the Dark Lord Sauron (Charlie Vickers).
The trailer was revealed during Amazon’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday.
Description of the new season: “Several years after the events of Season 2, Season 3 takes place at the height of the Elven-Sauron War, as the Dark Lord seeks to forge the one Ring that will give him the advantage he needs to win the war, bind all peoples to his will—and finally rule all of Middle-earth.”
The team announced that the fiery Balrog will speak in the new season and will be voiced by fan favorite Simon Pegg.
Season 3 will premiere globally on November 11 Hollywood Reporter Exclusively reported, work on an unofficial fourth season is well underway.
The first season is Prime Video’s biggest telecast of all time, while the second season is among the five most-watched seasons of all time.
The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick MacKay. They are joined by executive producers Lindsay Weber, Justin Dobell, Kate Hazel, and executive producer and director Charlotte Brandstrom. Matthew Penry-Davie is the producer and Allie O’Leary, Tim Kane and Andrew Lee are associate producers. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
