Netflix is ​​gearing up to return to the wilds, releasing its first teaser Little house on the meadow Adjustment on Monday morning

“Once upon a time, Ma, Papa, Mary, and Laura left the big woods of Wisconsin and moved to the prairie, where a new life awaited them,” says the teaser’s voiceover over clips of the Ingalls family’s life on the prairie (below). “Every day and every night was an adventure. Even though they were alone and so small before the sky and the stars, they were happy because they were a family.”

Boys alum Rebecca Sonnenshine serves as showrunner for the series, which is based on the beloved books of the same name and follows the Ingalls family as they discover life on the prairie. “Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part original story of the American West, this new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s acclaimed semi-autobiography The little house “The books offer a shifting vision of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier,” the show’s synopsis reads.

Alice Halsey leads the series as Laura Ingalls. Luke Bracey will play the Ingalls family patriarch, Charles Ingalls, while Crosby Fitzgerald is set to play the matriarch of the family, Caroline Ingalls. Skywalker Hughes will play Mary Ingalls.

Netflix’s adaptation of the famous novels, first published in the 1930s, is produced by CBS Studios and Anonymous Content. The streamer greenlit the series after several years of development by Anonymous Content and what was then known as Paramount TV Studios. The books also served as the source material for the popular NBC drama of the same name, which ran from 1974 to 1983 on the broadcast network.

Sonnenshine executive produces alongside Joy Gorman Wettels for the Joy Coalition, Trip Friendly for Friendly Family Productions and Dana Fox. Sarah Adena Smith, Julie Anne Robinson, Kat Candler, Erica Tremblay, and Sidney Vreeland each direct at least one episode of the series.

Little house on the meadow It will be released on Netflix on July 9.
