Akshay Khanna kept an atmosphere of mysticism around him for a long time. Known for avoiding parties, interviews and unnecessary public appearances, the actor constantly chooses to live life on his own terms.

Colleagues often describe him as a serious, passionate person who is largely unaffected by public opinion or industry pressure. Those who know him say he prefers solitary pursuits such as gardening, reading and music. Calm, collected and emotionally stable, Akshay rarely gets involved in drama or public acclaim, a trait that has defined him since his school days.Currently, with the success of his two blockbusters ‘Chhaava’ and ‘Dhurandhar’, the actor has once again become the talk of the internet.

Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar, Aditi’s Dhara, has become the major internet sensation of 2025 due to its runaway success.

“Akshay has always been quiet”

Going back in time, the famous costume designer Nita Lulla shared the experience of working with Akshay during the making of the film Taal, the director Subhash Ghai.Speaking to NDTV, she said, “Akshay has always been quiet, but I won’t call him quiet.”Recalling his approach to wardrobe and direction, she added, “What I remember about Akshay Khanna is that he had very little to say.

He was very cooperative. And with Subhash Ji, none of us can open our mouths if we want a special look. He wants a special look, and he knows what he wants.”She went on to explain how accommodating the actor was on set. “If Akshay didn’t want to wear a red scarf and Subhash ji said he had to wear a red scarf, so be it. But Akshay was that cooperative and he was a brilliant actor. Our eyes used to look at him in awe. It was like watching a movie in real life.”
