According to the latest reports, the musical biopic has registered a strong jump at the Indian box office. The film collected a net collection of Rs 5.00 crore on its second day. This represents an increase of 38.9 percent over the first day’s profit of Rs 3.60 lakh crore.The film was shown in 3,190 screenings on Saturday.

With the second day’s performance, ‘Michael’ has crossed Rs 12 crore gross in Indian collections as reported by Sacnilk.
The film’s total gross now stands at Rs 12.36 crore. Occupancy numbers show a clear upward trend on the second day. The English version (2D) recorded a total occupancy rate of 29.58 percent.
Morning shows opened with a 18.89 percent share.The occupancy rate rose to 30.22 percent in the afternoon. The percentage of evening shows increased to 34.33 percent. Nightly shows peaked at 34.89 percent.The IMAX 2D format performed better. It recorded a total occupancy rate of 44.14 percent. It surpasses the “Hail Mary Project”
At the Indian box office, ‘Michael’ has clearly taken the lead over ‘Project Hail Mary’. On the first day, the biopic earned Rs 3.80 crore nett. Including previews, it grossed Rs 5.50 crore nett.In comparison, Hail Mary collected a net Rs 2.25 crore on its opening day.The gap is also visible in national cinema chains. Michael sold about 45,000 tickets at PVR, INOX and Cinepolis. This resulted in approximately Rs 2.00 crore gross for the biopic.
