the Love Island in the USA The app is definitely feeling the love, too.
After the app crashed on Tuesday night during fan voting for the first eighth season, Hollywood Reporter I learned that the number of unique users who visit Love Island in the USA The app during that period was up about 350 percent compared to the number of users in last year’s Season 1 fan vote (well, that explains the “network error”).
The abundance of fans who flooded the app to cast their votes that night also surpassed the all-time high for Season 7 (which was for the final vote) by over a million.
When voting opened on Tuesday after the finale, fans got to choose which Islanders the new bombshells should be paired with. However, people were met with a “network error” message, leaving them frustrated as the primary period ended with many unable to cast their votes.
Peacock later informed fans that their team was working on the issue. On Wednesday morning, the show shared that the app crashed due to too many people trying to vote, but they extended the voting period. “Your extreme enthusiasm for America’s first vote has caused the app to crash. But don’t worry, we’re extending the voting window until 3pm ET/12pm PT on Wednesday, June 10!” Read the latest at the time.
It’s clear that the show continues to dominate viewers and the stats prove it, as the show also set a record for Peacock Week premiere viewing. In addition, Love Island in the USA The app also tops the App Store’s “Top Free Apps” list, surpassing ChatGPT.
New episodes of Love Island in the USA Low Thursday through Tuesday, with Love Island afternoon (hosted by Ciara Miller and creator Teffi Pessoa) airs every Saturday. Check all THR‘s Love Island in the USA Season 8 coverage and interviews are here.
