Are you excited for your own chance at the Honmoon Seal? Well, Netflix is finally making it happen.
Netflix is teaming up with AEG Presents to put on a show Demon hunters in kpop The streaming company announced Wednesday during its upfront presentation a global concert tour. The tour promises to deliver “a live experience that will bring elements of the two-time Academy Award-winning film to life in amazing ways,” according to a press release.
Tour details are sparse at this point – Netflix has given no indication as to whether this tour will feature any of the singing talents from the Huntrix films (EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami) or the Saja Boys. The former spent much of last year promoting the film on late-night TV shows, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and even the Oscars stage.
For now, fans of the film can join a waitlist in which those interested will be notified when more information is released. Cities, dates and general details of the sale are scheduled to be released later this year. The K-pop concert touring market has seen its ebbs and flows over the past few years. BTS, the world’s biggest boy band, is currently on a massive world tour that will take them across the United States later this year.
However, it is unlikely that there will be much crossover in terms of ticket purchases, as there is Demon hunters in kpop It resonated particularly well with non-K-pop fans and younger audiences, in contrast to the generally older demographic of popular K-pop groups currently active. However, AEG has a proven track record of extensive K-Pop tours for some of the genre’s biggest artists including Blackpink, Jennie, ATEEZ, Enhypen, G-Dragon, Le Sserafim, Big Bang, NCT 127, and Tomorrow x Together.
Demon hunters in kpop — directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans — chronicles the adventures of Huntrix, a K-pop girl group with three members who happen to be fighting monsters from the underworld. EJAE, Ami, and Nuna served as the singing voices of the film’s main trio of characters, while Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo were the speaking voices of the characters.
When the film premiered in the summer of 2025, few seemed to know the cultural moment it would become. Unsurprisingly, K-pop fans were the first to watch the film when it debuted on Netflix. As the summer went on, the general public began to pay attention to it, and its success skyrocketed, earning it the title of Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time and sending songs to the top of the charts. He has received numerous awards, including two Academy Awards and his first Grammy Award for K-pop.
The 2026 Academy Awards mark the end of an almost year-long chapter filled with film’s global dominance. In the aftermath, they will begin the long task of producing the sequel film. Hollywood Reporter News was first reported in August that a sequel film was in talks at Netflix and Sony Animation. Earlier this year, Netflix struck deals with Kang and Appelhans for the sequel as part of a new multi-year writing and directing pact. A confirmed release date for the sequel has not yet been announced.
