WASHINGTON – The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford was seen entering the Mediterranean Sea, Friday, on the orders of US President Donald Trump, as part of a massive military buildup in the Middle East.
The carrier was seen crossing the Strait of Gibraltar – which connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea – in a photo taken from the Gibraltar side of the strait.
Trump – who has previously sent another aircraft carrier to the Middle East – said on Friday that he was “considering” a limited strike on Iran if negotiations failed to reach an alternative to the nuclear agreement with Tehran that he tore up during his first term.
