Back in December of 2025, University of Michigan football coach Sherron Moore was arrested for stalking and harassing a female colleague with whom he had a romantic relationship.

Moore was eventually charged with felony home invasion, but managed to avoid prison time.

Now, his alleged victim, Paige Schaefer, is speaking publicly about the incident for the first time and revealing shocking new details.

In a new interview with ABC News that was partially broadcast Good morning America Schiffer revealed on Friday that Moore campaigned for her.

She added that she wanted to keep the baby, but was advised not to because of her rare genetic disorder known as Pompe disease.

“Many doctors and experts told me that it would not be right or healthy for me to keep the baby,” Schaefer said.

Schiffer claimed Moore knew about the pregnancy and encouraged her to have an abortion. “He said, ‘You’ve got to do what’s right for your body,'” Schaefer said.

“Suddenly I heard footsteps getting closer and closer, and I said to her: ‘Trivial.’” “So I ran to my front door to try to lock it,” Schaefer said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Schiffer talked about the terror she felt when Moore broke into her home.

“He stormed in, standing close to me and said, ‘You ruined my life, why are you doing this to me?’ “And I started to back away and he started following me,” she said, adding:

“Oh my god, yes. He’s 6’4” and he comes with his hood up, and he looks at me saying I ruined his life, and he cries and starts coming towards me and I ask him to leave.

“He’s not supposed to be here. He doesn’t listen to me. Then he starts grabbing the butter knives.”

When Schiffer was asked if she loved him, she replied, “At the time, I was in love with him, but obviously looking at things and really thinking about what happened, what was happening, that’s not love at all.”

Schaefer also criticized the response of her former bosses at Michigan, saying “they care more about winning football games, not having another scandal, and trying to protect the head coach.”

Earlier this month, Moore pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges and was sentenced to 18 months of probation.

“I think he should have received more punishment for what he did,” Schaefer said.

Schaeffer’s attorneys, Andrew M. Struth and Stephen A. Hart, criticized the ruling, saying it “does not reflect the seriousness of Moore’s unlawful entry and aggressive attack on Ms. Schaefer on December 10th.”

“Sheron Moore has closed this chapter,” Moore’s attorney, Elaine Michaels, who was reached for comment this week, said in a statement to ABC News.
