Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to Australia put a smile on the faces of everyone they met.

This has led to panic among hard-line royalists, who cling to the ailing monarchy and despise the Sussexes for escaping it.

A series of strange pieces have appeared. One in particular calls for Harry to divorce his wife, crawl back and marry the “English Rose.”

Please don’t play a drinking game every time you encounter a racist whistle. You will definitely die.

There are people who believe that the UK should “save” Harry from his happily ever after

It really feels as if die-hard supporters of the royal family — and perhaps the royal company itself — are crumbling over Harry and Meghan’s popularity.

It’s not that everyone likes them. Some people have no opinion of them at all.

But the two seem to be well-loved in every part of the English-speaking world except one small island. It happens to be the island where Harry was born.

In the midst of the Sussex duo’s downward spiral, hit pieces included bizarre stories about Queen Elizabeth, bizarre insinuations that Meghan is greedy or fickle (or both?), and rants about the name of the couple’s daughter.

Another new and very strange article that wants to “save” Harry from… happiness? freedom? Who is the love of his life?

SpectatorWilliam Atkinson, who does not even have the British name we will mention, says, “Britain must welcome the return of its wayward prince.”

In an article claiming to have been initially supportive of Harry and Meghan’s wedding at the time, it didn’t take long before some very strange racist rants came out.

It seems the writer couldn’t help but declare that “the presence of Oprah Winfrey and an overzealous American preacher was a bit rude.”

In the article, Harry’s time serving in the military in Afghanistan was not a commendable act of public service, but rather something that graced the prince’s “troubled” frame.

The writer also compares Harry to another royal from the 13th century AD, lamenting that Harry “did not have the pleasure of conquering the French.” Someone feeling nostalgic for the Hundred Years’ War carries a certain kind of unsurprising air in an article like this.

This is where things get worse

After his military service, “instead of settling down with Chelsy Davy or Cressida Bonas, Harry found himself adrift,” the article says.

These are not hypothetical, exaggerated British names, but actual women’s names. Would it surprise you to hear that both women in question are white?

Would it surprise you to learn that the author continues to describe anyone who criticizes racism as a “complaint trafficker,” even if they themselves are on the receiving end of racism?

One can’t help but get the impression that Meghan’s problem is that she doesn’t get sunburned as easily as “the new Sloane or the English rose” whom the author urges him to marry.

The other problem, of course, is that she seems concerned about Harry’s mental health. The author doesn’t seem to like that Harry himself cares about him either.

Throughout the article, there is a grumbling that Harry “still uses tired clichés about his mental health.”

The author then explodes and makes nonsensical claims such as: “Harry was the victim of peak awakening.”

Oddly enough, the article charges: “His wife embodies the worst excesses: the ridiculous focus on mental health, the nihilistic desire to tear down institutions, and the perpetual promotion of injustices around gender and race.”

It is true that if anyone believes so Recognizing systemic inequality and wanting to change it Bad – definition I wake up -So maybe they don’t like Megan.

Yes, she cares about those things, but the tone and style of the article seems like the biggest priority is for Harry’s hypothetical “English rose” to be lily white. Yikes!

We don’t even point this out to call out this particular writer. Mostly.

As we said, it’s just one of many panicked events that have emerged in recent weeks as the royals have seen Harry and Meghan’s charisma in places where their visits have failed.
