Instead of attending the Oscars, Krasinki and Blunt took their daughters to a deep cultural event.
As a family of four, they attended a Broadway show And Juliet At the Stephen Sondheim Theater.
No, that’s not a typo. The play is And Juliet.
The play – which is actually a musical jukebox – reimagines Shakespeare’s most famous works, but imagines what if the errant lovers did not die in it and lived out their lives.
Their presence caught the attention of the production’s official Instagram account, leading to this post:
A family outing is a very nice response
The official Instagram account shared a photo of the two stars, both dressed in denim outfits, alongside the cast.
“I saw Emily Blunt and John Krasinski And Juliet “On Broadway,” the caption began.
The comment concluded succinctly: “That’s it.”
In general, Broadway does not need advertising as much as some other institutions. If someone wants to see plays, they probably want to see them on Broadway—and they can or they can’t.
But it’s still a good ad. Especially for what may be a lesser-known musical, in the grand scheme of things.
Krasinski and Blunt met in 2008 through mutual friends. She has shared her memories of meeting in the past.
They started dating in November of that year.
By August 2009, the two were engaged, and they married in July 2010.
In 2014, Krasinski and Blunt welcomed Hazel.
In 2016, they welcomed her younger sister, Violet.
Between their notable personalities and how “urgent” their early relationship was, it seems likely that divorce rumors will continue to rise and fall like a crop field with the seasons. But for now, the rumors remain just ill-considered whispers.
