MAGA doesn’t just wither away. It has been snuffed out — by Donald Trump himself.
These are not just wishes made by the American left. This is what ultra-conservatives say.
Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly talked about it as she sees it.
She says MAGA’s decline is the result of Trump’s “betrayal” of his base.

“MAGA is not what it used to be”
On Friday, May 22, the villains of online political commentary, Megyn Kelly and the Hodgetwins, sat down for one of the worst meetings of the minds imaginable.
However, some were surprised when Kelly — who supported Donald Trump, despite the man’s crude and personal insults toward her in 2016 — accused the aspiring dictator of betraying his political base.
“MAGA is no longer what it used to be,” Kelly described. “MAGA is now a very, very small group of loyal Trump loyalists who must love Mark Levin.”
Levin is a Republican who initially opposed Trump, then supported him after he received the party’s nomination. Levin, like some other public figures on the American right, has escalated his zeal, defending Trump beyond the defensible.
“And this is by definition an increasingly small group,” Kelly said, shaded. Although she rarely has good opinions, she does Mark Levin is a hater. So she has one thing going for her.
Later during the same lengthy interview, Kelly noted that MAGA had changed dramatically.
“I think I was surprised to see how fast it was [MAGA has] “It’s reduced to something much less wonderful than it used to be,” she noted.
This matches anecdotal evidence of clear signs of waning support for Trump, and with empirical data on voters who feel remorse now that they realize what they have unleashed upon the nation — and the world.
“It’s disrespectful to call Trump voters cultists,” Kelly claimed of the accurate characterization such individuals often receive. “But they have the same kind of loyalty.”
She continued: “It’s like, ‘In Trump we trust,’ and he can’t do anything wrong.” However, surprisingly, she continued to defend the alarmist view.

Opposing the idea of going to war with Iran was not a “far-fetched line” in his campaign, however…
“And I understand that. You know, they’ve been burned by a lot of other politicians,” Kelly said. “They felt like Trump got them at a time when everyone was ignoring them.”
But Trump also burned these people. And it’s not just about how he spent more than a year sabotaging the economy.
“It’s amazing to me that the people who voted for the man who repeatedly said ‘no to new wars’ [and] Kelly pointed out that “there is no war with Iran, and no wars in the Middle East.”
She continued: “Specifically, she repeatedly repeated the word ‘Iran’ and also said that ‘the Democrats are going to put us in a war with Iran’ – this was not just a passing statement.”
Kelly highlights that this was a massive betrayal. Even people who agree with Trump’s challenge to the Constitution and who support his opposition to human rights disagree.

“That was a big part of his campaign and his promises,” Kelly reiterated.
Of course, while some abandoned MAGA, others redoubled their efforts – even if it meant ignoring their previous positions.
“These people were saying, ‘Yes, we are pro-war with Iran! Yes, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,’” Kelly accurately described.
She then admitted, “We all know that’s a lie. It’s very clearly a lie to get us into this conflict.”
It’s important to remember that just because Megyn Kelly says this doesn’t mean she’s a good person. It definitely isn’t.
She is likely looking to the near future – a time when Trump is out of power – and where she will stand alongside those he has impeached as the next far-right figures seek influence.
