Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding may be over, but new controversies and criticism are still popping up left and right.
The latest concerns two very different groups of critics: Swifties working to silence a New York City bar owner, and wedding guests who say Taylor’s big day was generally subpar.
We will start with the first argument:
According to TMZ, a bar owner on West 31st Street had to close Friday evening and most of Saturday due to security surrounding the wedding festivities.
The owner told the outlet that he was originally informed that the sidewalk outside his business would remain open to pedestrians, allowing for at least some customer traffic.
But those plans changed at the last minute, as the entire area was eventually closed.
The sudden closure came during what business owners expected to be a busy weekend, making the financial impact even more frustrating.
The company shared news of the unexpected closure on social media, but instead of sympathy, the owner says the post sparked a wave of criticism from Taylor Swift’s fans.
According to TMZ, some commenters argued that a local business’ loss of money pales in comparison to the importance of Swift and Kelsey’s wedding, accusing the owner of unfairly criticizing the singer.
The landlord claims the pub has been hit with negative comments from angry fans, with some calling him a “real piece of shit” for complaining about the situation.
Others reportedly accused him of “looking for a handout because he was not invited to a celebrity’s wedding” and suggested his complaints were motivated by greed.

Elsewhere in Taylor’s verse, Daily Mail He claims that many of the wedding guests (who preferred to remain anonymous, of course)
“The whole thing was awful and tacky,” one attendee said, describing the “chaotic” scene in which there were not enough chairs to accommodate all the guests.
Taylor and Travis have yet to respond to any of the controversy.
And they probably never will – unless of course Taylor decides to write a song about how the local bar owners could have done something tough for her and given her some weird chairs for the day!
