Rock star Yash will be seen playing the role of Ravana in Nitish Tiwari’s mythological epic ‘Ramayana’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Recently, during the grand trailer launch of the film in Delhi, the Kannada star spoke about his experience working on the film and revealed how it gave him an opportunity to learn Hindi.
Yash calls ‘Ramayana’ a special journey
According to a report by IANS, during the event, he tried to speak in Hindi while addressing the audience. He said, “Namaskar. I am really happy to be a part of this wonderful project. Sab Hindi mein baat kar rahe hain yahaan. Main bhi koshish karunga. Iss mukaam tak laane ke liye All the credit should go to Namit Malhotra. Unhone mujhe yeh patra nibhaane ka avsar dia, uske liye main unko dhanyawaad kehta hoon.” Hindi sekin ka bhi mukha mela.
(Everyone was speaking in Hindi here, so I thought I would give it a try too. All the credit for getting me to this point goes to Namit Malhotra. He gave me the opportunity to play this character, and I am really grateful to him for that. I also got a chance to learn Hindi.)”

The ‘KGF’ star thanked producer Namit Malhotra for giving him the opportunity to be a part of the film. He also thanked director Nitesh Tiwari for helping him understand his character.

We have only one interest – to tell the story of Prabhu Shri Ram to the global audience and also to celebrate him in our own country. So, thank you, Namit, for that courage and conviction. Yash also spoke about his co-stars, praising Ranbir Kapoor as “extraordinary” and saying, “The whole of India will understand how she succumbed to this role and what magic she created.”He also appreciated Sai Pallavi’s performance in the role of Sita. Yash said that watching her on screen was a wonderful experience, adding, “Her eyes say it all.”The actor also praised Rakul Preet Singh and Shobana for playing their characters.The trailer launch of Ramayana was attended by many well-known names in the film industry.
