Story and plot of Mrunal Thakur movie
Set during the COVID-19 period, “Dacoit” follows the character Harry aka Romeo, played by Adivi Sesh. He is a man who loves deeply. His life changes when Saraswati also known as Juliet becomes the reason for his conviction for murder. Harry escapes from prison. His journey turns into a wild cat-and-mouse chase with an eccentric police officer, played by Anurag Kashyap, and a corrupt boss of a hospital chain, played by Prakash Raj.Harry must stay focused on his mission to escape and seek revenge.
However, for a man in love, letting go is not easy even after thirteen years. The narrative mixes action, emotion and twists. It aims to mix intensity with ostentation in a monumental and stylized form.
Critical reception for Adivi Sesh starrer
ETimes’ review of the film says: “The film has several twists, some of which, including the climax, are truly shocking. On paper, these moments have real impact, but they needed tighter writing to really hit the ground running.”
There’s a clear attempt to capitalize on the current wave of stylized, blockbuster, male-driven action cinema dominating the space. Dacoit: The Love Story aims to reach that high level with a mixture of power, passion and ostentation.
But instead of coming together as an engaging artist, it ends up feeling uneven and underwhelming — a film with great intentions that ultimately turns out to be a flop.”
