Celina Jaitley shared a cryptic post on social media about ‘breaking up with a narcissist’ amid reports that Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against her husband Peter Haag, following allegations of domestic violence.Late Friday night, the actress took to her Instagram Stories to post a photo of a book she was reading. Page titled “Breaking up with a narcissist” Featured passages emerged that seemed to resonate deeply with her. The featured text read: “Breaking up with a narcissist is like breaking up with the version of yourself they created.”The clip also said, “When you leave, you don’t just end the relationship; you reclaim your identity, your voice, and your life from the grip of someone who never truly saw or valued you…”Another highlighted section concluded with the lines, “You deserve to rewrite your story and take back your power… You deserve to heal. You are not who they said you were.”The actress’s post came hours after reports emerged that police acted on serious allegations of domestic violence leveled by Jaitley against her estranged husband Haag. According to officials, an FIR has been registered under Sections 85, 115 (2), 351 (2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with allegations of cruelty, causing hurt, intimidation and persistent harassment.
This case is also linked to ongoing proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005.Mumbai Police has also issued a notice circular (LOC) against Peter Haag. Sources indicate that this step came due to the alleged lack of cooperation with the ongoing investigation. A LOC is generally issued in cases where authorities believe that the accused person may evade questioning or leave the country during the investigation.To date, neither Peter nor his legal representatives have issued any public statement regarding these allegations. Mumbai Police is reportedly continuing to record data and collect relevant materials linked to the complaint.Selena, who has been married to Peter since 2010, filed a case against the businessman in November 2025, under Section 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2025, seeking interim and ex parte relief. It has sought damages of Rs 50 crore and other sums in lieu of the “loss of earnings/visibility suffered by the complainant due to the maltreatment committed by the respondent, followed by further monetary orders for loss caused by removal of property, misappropriation of funds and maintenance.
