Anne Hathaway, known for her roles in The Princess Diaries, Les Misérables, and Christopher Nolan’s newly released The Odyssey, has lived in some truly amazing homes over the years. She currently shares her primary residence in Southern California with her husband, jewelry designer Adam Shulman, and their children. Here’s a look at the most notable properties she’s called home.

In the mid-2000s, Hathaway and her then-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri rented a $37,000-a-month five-bedroom duplex in downtown Manhattan’s Olympic Tower, a building that was the first all-glass tower in Manhattan when it was built in 1976. As Shulman told Architectural Digest in 2019, “The moment we stepped onto the pass and saw this stunning panoramic view before us, we were in awe.” Highlights include a music room with a disco ball and piano, a pink primary bedroom, a wood-paneled living room with a stone fireplace, and a pergola-topped balcony. In early 2016, the couple paid $2.55 million for a 1,200-square-foot penthouse in a neo-Georgian house built in 1904 on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The co-op unit has two bedrooms, a private balcony, skylights and 18-foot ceilings. The couple extensively renovated it, adding white oak herringbone floors, French casement windows, and a white marble fireplace before listing it in February 2020 for about $3.5 million. It finally sold in June 2021 for just under the asking price.
