Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested Saturday in Miami with news agency Reporting that the British authorities requested their extradition on charges of rape and sex trafficking.

The Crown Prosecution Service published a statement on Saturday, saying prosecutors have decided to bring further charges against the Tates family “in relation to four additional victims”.
“Following their arrest in the United States, the Public Prosecution will seek their extradition in relation to the 21 original charges they face, in addition to the other charges we have decided to prosecute,” the statement read.
Andrew Tate has emerged online as a controversial social media figure, with his content centered around extreme misogyny. He entered the zeitgeist in 2016 with his appearance on the UK version of Big brotherHowever, he was removed from the house six days after a video surfaced of him attacking a woman.
He and Tristan were charged with 21 crimes in the UK in May 2025, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.
According to the BBC, Tate faces 10 charges related to three alleged victims, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain. The BBC also said that Tristan faces 11 charges related to the alleged victim, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.
They were also previously arrested in 2022 in Romania and accused of participating in schemes to lure women for sexual exploitation, also according to the AP. They denied these accusations.
