Japanese automaker Nissan Motor India has announced a major revival plan for the Indian market, confirming three new car launches, including the Nissan Gravite MPV and Tekton SUV, along with a sharp expansion of its sales network. Nissan confirms three new models for India
Nissan on Thursday officially revealed plans to launch three new vehicles in India over the next 14–16 months, marking its most significant product expansion in recent years. The upcoming lineup will include a B-segment MPV, a mid-size SUV, and a seven-seater SUV, helping Nissan enter multiple high-volume segments.
The company also confirmed the name of its upcoming seven-seater MPV as Nissan Gravite, which will lead the brand’s next phase of growth.
Launch timeline revealed
According to Nissan’s product roadmap:
- Nissan Gravite MPV is scheduled for launch in early 2026
- Nissan Tekton SUV will follow in mid-2026
- A new seven-seater SUV is planned for early 2027
This rollout will expand Nissan’s presence from a single model lineup to four active segments in the Indian market.
India remains strategic hub for Nissan
Speaking on the announcement, Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson for Nissan AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania), said India continues to play a vital role in Nissan’s global strategy.
He noted that upcoming products are being developed with Indian customers in mind, while also supporting exports to international markets, reinforcing India’s position as a manufacturing and export base.

He stated that the model is designed to meet the diverse needs of Indian buyers and underlines Nissan’s commitment to building vehicles tailored for local road conditions, preferences, and value expectations.
