'Athiradi' Box Office Collection Day 12: Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph starrer slows down on Monday, grossing over Rs 62 crore worldwide.

Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph’s ‘Athiradi’ continues its decent theatrical run even in the second week. The film fared well in select centers despite facing stiff competition from Mohanlal’s blockbuster ‘Drishyam 3’.

On the 12th day, ‘Athiradi’ has collected a net collection of Rs 0.57 crore across 796 shows in India, as reported by Sacnilk. With this, the film’s total Hindi collection has reached Rs 32.47 crore, while its total Hindi collection stands at Rs 37.66 crore so far. The film also performed strongly in overseas markets, adding Rs 24.65 crore to the total collections.

This takes the worldwide gross of ‘Athiradi’ to Rs 62.31 crore, proving that the film has performed well overall.

Weekend strengthening helps Athiradi after strong growth on second Sunday

The film did well over the weekend and dropped on Monday. On the 10th day (2nd Saturday), ‘Athiradi’ collected net Rs.1.27 lakh. On Day 11 (2nd Sunday), the collection rose to Rs. 1.53 Cr net. However, the effect of days of the week on the 12th resulted in significantly lower clusters. Even then, the weekend momentum helped the film cross the Rs 32 crore mark comfortably in India.

The overseas market played an important role in the overall success of the film, contributing Rs 24.65 crore to the total revenue. Combined with strong domestic earnings, the global GDP has now reached Rs 62.31 lakh crore. ‘Athiradi’, directed by Arun Anirudhan, has managed to gain appreciation for its humor and emotional story.
