Salman Khan's appearance in Raja Shivaji goes viral; The stage explodes with cheers as the legendary star makes his entrance as Jiva Mahala - WATCH

Salman Khan set social media on fire with his appearance in the historical epic ‘Raja Shivaji’. Video clips from cinema halls, showing audiences erupting in loud cheers and shouts as the star makes his on-screen entrance, have gone viral. While his role remained a secret for several months, fans were busy with the actor playing the role of Jeeva Mahala in Riteish Deshmukh’s film. Clips shared via fan handles capture the moment when Khan appears in an eye-catching appearance, wearing an orange turban and kurta, and carrying the Maratha sword, alongside Riteish, who plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film.

The high-energy scene, accompanied by its own soundtrack, sees Khan’s character holding his sword to the neck of a rival before delivering the powerful line, “Shivaji nai; Shivaji Raj mhanaycha”, which instantly sent the theater into a frenzy.

Talking about how he bagged the supporting roles, Riteish Deshmukh had earlier revealed that the star himself insisted on being a part of the project. “I did not go to him in this film. We were together on New Year. He asked me when I started shooting for the film. I said, ‘It will start this month.'” Deshmukh said, “What role am I playing?”When he learned that no role was planned for him, Khan replied: “No, no, no, you can’t make the film without me, I have to be in it.”

Deshmukh added, “That feeling of warmth and belonging, those feelings… I was thinking I haven’t thought about it yet… but he said, ‘I should have a role in the film.’ Then there was a role… and Salman Khan is also a part of this film.”Directed by Deshmukh, ‘Raja Shivaji’ brings to life the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film has opened the door to huge interest from the audience, with box office reports indicating that the film may be heading towards a whopping Rs 10 crore at the box office.
