Another party means another roast from Nikki Glaser.
Glaser hosted the 20th annual Time 100 gala Thursday night at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, which celebrates timeList of the most influential people in the world. During this event, the magazine’s annual selections of the 100 most influential people in the world were honored. And in true Glaser fashion, she made it roast, taking comic jabs at Katy Perry, Hailey Bieber, Victoria Beckham, Mr. Beast, Kate Hudson, and more, plus time itself.
“Welcome to the Time 100, the only list you really want to be on this year,” the comedian told a star-studded crowd at the start of the event.
Here’s a summary of Glaser’s jokes throughout the night:
“This event is unique for more than just the scope of honorees. It is also the only gala of the year in which girls from Demon hunters in kpop They don’t sing “Golden”. Yes, we tried to book them, but they are headlining the boat show in Boise.
“Mr. Best is here. Oh my God, my worst nephew is a huge fan. Mr. Best is here. That means the doors are locked and if we can survive the next two hours, he’ll give each of us $100,000? Or as he says, the cost of human dignity.” The YouTuber was sitting at the same table with Anderson .Paak and Natasha Lyonne.
“One of my favorite singer-songwriters of all time, Noah Kahan is here. Yes, if you look around the room and can’t find him, there’s a little hint, he looks exactly like the guy who sold you weed at a Dave Matthews concert in 1998.”
“Hailey Bieber is here tonight. In addition to her work as a makeup and skincare mogul, Hailey has influenced millions of people to do the impossible and pay $30 for a smoothie. But in her defense, each smoothie contains two grams of Justin.” [Bieber] Bone marrow.”
“The gorgeous and talented Kate Hudson is here. Kate, I love you so much. I’ve always been in a relationship with you. Mostly because I’ve lost so many men in 10 days. And I’m almost famous.”
“One of the most impressive people on the list is Victoria Beckham, of course. Oh my God. She was an international pop star, and now a serious fashion designer. She’s married to David Beckham. She’s rich and successful,
surprising. What does it take to make you smile? I mean, really, please smile. You are one of the only British people who should.
“What really blows my mind is that we have real astronauts here tonight. It’s crazy. These brave people who risked everything to go up into space and search for the unknown. And by astronaut, of course, I’m talking about Gayle King. Gayle, I love you so much. You had the courage to do something that not many people have the courage to do: spend 12 minutes alone with Katy Perry. Thank you for that.”
The gala also featured performances by Luke Combs and Coco Jones, as well as honorary mentions from members of this year’s roster, including Oscar winner Zoe Saldaña, Olympic figure skater Chloe Kim, Traitors host Alan Cumming, time CEO Jessica Sibley and Editor-in-Chief Sam Jacobs.
