The awards, run by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, recognize and celebrate online excellence[e] The creators, companies, platforms and personalities shaping today’s cultural and technological landscape.

This year, the Webby Awards will also honor several recipients of Special Achievement Awards for “outstanding contributions to Internet culture.” They include Claude (Webby Person of the Year Award); Shonda Rhimes (Webby Streaming Person of the Year); Kylie Kelsey (Webby Podcast of the Year); Taraji P. Henson (IADAS and NAACP Webby Advocate of the Year); Drusky (Webby Special Achievement Award); and Pete Davison (Webby Award for Special Achievement). Adobe and Webbys will also present the Special Achievement in Creative AI Award to James Gerde.
Additionally, Google will be honored as Brand of the Year, iHeart Media will receive Webby Podcast Company of the Year, and PBS will be recognized as Webby Media Company of the Year.
