'Cocktail 2' Box Office Collection Day 4: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna starrer saw a huge drop on Monday; It exceeds Rs 85 crore worldwide

‘Cocktail 2’, the all-new romantic comedy starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, witnessed a significant slowdown at the box office on its first Monday. The film, which got off to a good start at the box office in its opening weekend, saw a significant drop in numbers on Monday, as it collected a net earnings of around Rs 6.35 crore in India on the fourth day.After a strong opening weekend, the romantic drama saw its expected weekday decline. On Monday, the film reported a 64.2% drop in numbers as it ran across 9,785 shows.The film began its theatrical run with an impressive opening day collection of Rs 13.50 crore nett. Positive audience response helped the film grow over the weekend, as it collected an estimated Rs 16.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.75 crore on Sunday. With Monday’s earnings added to its credit, ‘Cocktail 2’ has now collected an estimated Rs 53.85 crore in net Hindi collections.

Meanwhile, the film’s total collections in India currently stand at Rs 64.56 crore.The film also continued to maintain a steady grip on international markets. On the fourth day, it added an estimated Rs 1.50 lakh crore overseas, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 20.75 lakh crore. As a result, the film’s worldwide gross collection rose to an estimated Rs 85.31 crore.Directed by Homi Adajania, ‘Cocktail 2’ is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster ‘Cocktail’ and features a new cast that includes Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika in the lead roles, replacing Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty and Saif Ali Khan.

The film’s early performance at the box office also helped it earn a place among Shahid Kapoor’s highest-grossing films. With its current Hindi net collection of Rs 53.85 crore, the film has already climbed to the seventh position on the actor’s list of highest-grossing films. She is now approaching the complete collection of ‘Haider’ (2014), which grossed approximately Rs 55.93 crore nett in India.If the film continues to maintain momentum over the coming days, it is likely to surpass the India net gross of Rs 84.85 crore achieved by Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s previous collaboration, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. at present, ‘
