Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Pallichattambi’ continues its theatrical run with good collections on first Monday.The Malayalam action drama starring Tovino Thomas has registered a significant decline even after a promising opening weekend. The film directed by Diego Jose Anthony also has a special cameo by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

As reported by Sacnilk, on the sixth day, ‘Pallichattambi’ collected a net Rs 59 lakh across 792 shows. This figure shows a decline of 63.1% from the fifth day’s Rs 1.60 lakh crore. India’s net total now stands at Rs 9.22 lakh crore while India’s gross output stands at Rs 10.61 lakh lakh crore.Day 5, 1st Sunday, saw strong earnings of Rs 1.60 lakh crore from 979 shows with 38.1 per cent occupancy. Day 6, First Monday dropped to Rs 59 lakh with 792 offers at 21.0 percent occupancy.
A period drama with a strong emotional connection
The story is set in the 1950s against the backdrop of social and political changes in Kerala. Tovino Thomas plays the tough guy who is brought in to protect the interests of the community, and Kayadu Lohar plays Rebecca, an assertive and principled woman who is deeply involved in the current events.
